We don't have to take buses and taxis (that often); we've progressed to cars. It's still sweet and satisfying that a friendship remains. We learn to love and accept each other just as we are, and I guess to appreciate it too, because when we first knew each other we had nothing material, just uniforms and public transport. Slowly we learn our places in this world, watch as hearts flutter then break, phone calls where nothing is heard at the other end except crying, or when you're the one sobbing. Words become overrated after a certain point; meet ups don't have to be frequent, yet when you do meet up, it seems like the days in between were never there.
