something to remember

I've never met a single ugly person.

It really bugs me when people say other people are ugly. Or even that they’re not beautiful. I think everybody’s beautiful. Sure, some people have bad attitudes or grumpy days, or they put up walls which are awfully hard to break down, but I don’t think they’re ugly. I know there’s still some ( Read more... )

Beautiful/ugly is horribly subjective, I think...

Sure, some people have positive attitudes or happy days, or they seem so friendly to everyone else around and have no problems of their own, but I don't think they're beautiful. I know there's still some bad, some ugly underneath there. I like people who are human. Sure, I love beautiful people who are stick skinny and have "perfect lives" and look like they stepped right out of a movie or a magazine cover, but I don't really know a ton of those people.

Everyone's just human. Why can't we all just admit that?"

Just my two cents'. :)

it is horribly subjective. i guess it's all a matter of perspective and you don't go around calling people ugly all the time. but yea. i think in every one of us we're all a little bit (maybe more than a little bit) flawed, and at the same time flawless? as in, there's always something (at least one thing) that makes them nice/beautiful/likeable

yeah subjective's the wordddd. we are just human beings, flawed and flawless, if you need the binaries.

aguilera's "beautiful" comes to mind.

and considering the fact that everyone is made in the image of God, ...

you're beautiful, no matter what they say. =)

i too base judgement initially on looks, but it is the character of the person who prevails in my overall impression in the end. if someone has lesser than average looks, but has a lovely character, that person is beautiful in my eyes. if someone is really pretty but is snide and lazy during project meetings, that's it for me! i will pounce on whatever fault they have and think of them as ugly cuz personality preceds the face

IA. i think though that after a while i'll get so sian of pouncing (and guilty of doing so) that i'll try to think of something good about that person..
