when we were young, where a friend stands on the hierarchy of friendship is dependent on how much time you spend with that friend.
as we grow older, our hierarchy is turned topsy turvy. because friends we spend less time with but know for a long time may be more precious than those we just got to know but spend a lot of time with. or vice versa.

so my answer is. does it matter?
friends are the people you remember. end of story.
