I used 50-year-old pastels on Snape's hair and robes. I rather think he'd like that. ;)

Hmmm...yes. Another thing I wasn't very happy about. If I do finish or re-do the drawing, he was going to get a slight nose and chin job. ;)

The colours are amazing. Look at that red! And that purple! Snape's hair - and what a leer he's got on his face, too...

The red and the purple (actually cobalt blue) are very old pastels. You can't buy those particular shades any more (although you can get fairly close). The older pastels seemed to have more intense colors. :)
