Another early morning short one: How I hate ruby sanctum

So last night in spite of my horrendous ping (600+) one raid leader cajoled me into raiding. And of course it was Ruby Sanctum 10 Heroic. The fight on normal is not bad, it's a bit tricky to learn as there are 3 phases and you have to move. On heroic it's all that + splodey bits and an extra rotating beam of death ( Read more... )

Even for a WoW raid, that sounds positively sadistic. Aside from bragging rights, what do you get from the Heroic that's worth putting yourself through that kind of misery for?

honestly... slightly better gear and an achievement. Which 3 of the raider core are completely nutso about, and that's coming from me.

I have nearly 8k achievement points on Kalaooke, but these guys have way over 9000 (which is itself... uh... http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=4496 )

the difference is that it's about the same amount of work to go from 2k (which you can achieve pretty easily just by playing the game) to 8k as it is to go from 8k to 9k.
