Lets see how long this gets:
First things first... SHAW I love ya but you're killing me. First on Wednesday then on Friday you cut all signal for 2 hours during prime time. If it keeps happening I swear I'll go to Telus, and you know how much I dislike Telus for internet. Please fix that shit, and pronto. Cutting off all of Kingswood for random periods of time is so uncool and I'm sure you heard an earful both times.
So uh yeah on Wednesday when I didn't have any internet I got mad and went to Wallyworld, except they didn't have what I wanted. So I went to the underutilized Future Shop at the very north end of St. Albert (past it is fields till Morinville).
And in there I bought... A PS3... but not just any PS3 no I bought a PS3 with the silly globey stick and camera attachment. And by way of Amazomg I got "The Shoot" and the gun attachment, so now it's a glowey ball in a bright red and white gun type thing.
As an aside, way to fail Amazomg. I will now not expect my packages anytime soon anymore because you insist on switching from Can Post (1-2 days max for packages) to UPS... yes that UPS. Where I'm lucky if your package arrives here in 4-5 days. I know it's cheaper for you, after all you lowered the limit on your free shipping to $25 from $39 but you may end up suffering due to reduced service. Just saying yanno.
Anywho, light gun... Uh yeah, pew pew! it's actually kind of fun in a light gun kind of way but it's not something I can spend more than a short session playing. The glowey ball lag is there, but it's a minor fraction of a second. If anything I'm sort of thinking it's actually a bit better than the Wii, but my Wii glitches out at any sizable distance from the TV. Which is directly opposite to the Move Camera which wants you to be at least 4-5 feet away. It's a very narrow band, kind of disappointingly so. It's as if they don't expect people to sit 3 feet away from the thing, which works in large spaces I suppose, but I don't currently have that luxury.
That's one reason I am not going to get a Kinect anytime soon, that and the games are even more retarded. For one I don't have the luxury of putting it 6-10 feet in front of me and sorry Microsoft but it needs buttons, waving your hands around like you're on fire and dancing around to Saturday Night Fever is extremely limiting. Just looking at the current selection of games they're all waving and jumping games, uh yeah, no go.
Anywho on to the games: WHY SONY WHY, I WANT ME SOME GRAN TURISMO 5!, why must you be so mean to me. So yeah still not released.
I did pick up the first Uncharted and it's not bad, kind of like a smarmy male Laura Croft. When I get a chance I'll definitely play through the rest of the game.
The shoot is a parody on shooters and it works well enough, don't really think it was worth the $40 asking price but eh I'm a picky bastard. Worth a few playthroughs especially on those nights I'm in kill mode.
So now when I have the time I have: Disgaea 3, Valkyria Chronicles and Demon Soul to play through... yeah there's a good 300 hours if I can find the time oy. Not to mention the Sly trilogy when I pick it up and GT5 if/when it's ever released.
Lunch is over so no FFXIV bits today, maybe later, maybe another day.
