Well, everything's great. I'm officially in a relationship as of last week. I've hung out with her every weekend since about the 2nd week of September. It's wonderful

Hey! it's good to hear that you are doing so well! Sounds like everything is working well for you! It's been 3 months since I arrived in Japan. I live in Kyushu (Oita Prefecture). Although I am a "CIR" my job is as a glorified ALT. I teach quite a bit at the Junior High School. Today I went and taught about Canada to the Elementary School Kids. I am almost 100 percent sure that I won't recontract a 2nd year, but insted I want to move to Osaka or Tokyo and find some other job.
I met a guy on the net and am going to meet him in 2 weeks. Well see what happens.
Hey there! 3 months have passed already? Wow... 光陰矢のごとし.
That's a pain that you got the "CIR" position, only to be teaching at JHS. What the heck!?
I can recommend that you put in a transfer to another area. It doesn't happen often, but at least look into it, because JET pays about 500$ more than other teaching jobs. If your Japanese is good enough (and you have 1kyuu... 2kyuu may not be enough anymore), you may be able to get an in-house translating position, or maybe you could work at a regular office job. Still, though, even if just for the money, I recommend sticking with JET for a little longer if you can. I do realize that Oita seems far from civilization, though. I still haven't been to Kyushu because it's so far.
Glad you're meeting someone! That's always exciting. Good luck! 報告を聞かせてね~(^^)
