I'm a little anxious but also excited to be teaching again, in about two weeks. I'm excited because I love teaching, and anxious because it's a new school year with new students and I'm making more money, so I want to do a good job. Anyway, I'm sure it will work out

I have lots to do as well, and one of them includes starting to look for a new job for when my contract runs out on JET. Hopefully if I as well can pass the JLPT and the JBLPT it will be alright though！

Good for you on the at least sporradic studying for the test! I try and take 30 minutes every day to study... but that doesn't happen sometimes. I have learnt pretty much all of the Kanji for 1kyu, so it is onto the grammer section! which is pretty overwhelming! not that I don't know most of the grammer or at least have heard of it, it is just picking which one is right on the test that is my weak point.

Hey there! Thanks for the 応援, I really need it. I've changed my schedule around a lot because I want to devote time to focusing on studying for this test. One of my colleagues also wants to take １級 so we may study together.

You will be fine as long as you pass the JLPT... and even many companies take ２級. The JBLPT isn't as well known as the JLPT, but I'd have to say that is more accurate in its accessment, simply because there is an actual face-to-face interview. They are both good to shoot for. My kanji comprehension is a lot better, but I can't learn kanji one by one... I have to learn them in vocabulary. Most of my focus had been on grammar, and I have been studying reading comprehension.

Anyway, we'll see what happens, but I'm rooting for you! How often is one able to take the JBLPT? I think it's a lot more times than the JLPT.

I've been getting into better study habits, so things are beginning to look promising. We'll see what happens. Good luck to you :)

It's good that you know all the kanji. That's one of my weak points, but I can't learn kanji in isolation. Whenever I encounter a compound that I'm unfamiliar with, I look it up and then make a flash card for it. Right now I'm going through a 問題集 that focuses mainly on grammar and usage, and then I'll get back to my 読解. If I have time left after that, I have a　聴解 book, but reading and grammar are the biggest parts so I'm focusing on those.
