senri told me to write more, so...
Here's a useless post about my boring life.
1.) I have three papers coming up, one of which has this as a prompt: "Explain selflessness." Yeah, that's right. History of Buddhism SUCKS.
2.) Greek Boy (who is so named not because he is Greek but because he is in my Ancient Greek class), otherwise known as Hottie McHottington, also known as The Only Pretty Thing in All My Classes, will not stick around after class so I can talk to him. (Also, I haven't worked up the balls to talk to him anyway, yet, but a friend of mine who is also taking the class who is way more outgoing than me got to talk to him when she was paired up with him and he seemed to like her and she certainly liked him, so I was hoping that would give me an in with him, but apparently not. I can only hope, however, that he prefers blondes.)
3.) Did anyone else watch Fringe last night? J.J. Abrams started it on a plane just to fuck with us, I'm sure. (Abrams does LOST, too, for those who don't get that.) But anyway, it was actually pretty good. The female lead sucks, just like in LOST, because apparently J.J. can't write believable female characters, but the male lead? Hot, and a BAMF. My roommate and I dubbed him a BAMFILF.
4.) I have finally gotten around to watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer (my conversion to the church of Whedon is going well). But Hulu only has the first two seasons. Anyone have any suggestions, barring illegal and/or possibly-virus-ridden downloads?
5.) I have downloaded two albums by The Streets and have judged that rap is ONLY okay when delivered with a heavy British accent.
6.) Going back to item #1, History of Buddhism has made me much more inclined than usual to use numbered lists, because the professor is a sucker for numbers and should have been a mathematician rather than a Religious Studies professor.
7.) I have decided, as you might have noticed, that refraining from swearing on my own journal is useless, because sometimes you just have to do it. For instance, about 35% of my speech at college (while talking to friends, that is), is what one might politely term "foul."
8.) I have to write a sestina for Creative Writing by Friday using the following words: vestal virgin, womb, bleach, rave, plum, and voodoo or hogwash. This should be very interesting indeed.
9.) I am extremely tired of blue pen, and really should find my black one again.
10.) This was probably pretty boring for everyone but senri, and even for her I'm sure it was tedious. OH WELLZ.
