Emily's post made me think about something. Why are boys so much better at video games then girls are? You can't deny this. I mean, every girl I know doesn't even like video games that much, and when they do.... No, it is just thaty typically girls are less interested. I kick most guys arses at videos games.

I played video games from age 5 till age 16. Two or three years ago I tried playing my sister in Goldeneye on N64... and lost miserably; I gave up in a matter of minutes because I simply was not accustomed to console controls after playing computer games for years before, including far too much StarCraft--17 hours on Saturdays. Such a waste...

Practice is definitely what makes guys good. Also, males seem to be far more competetive, which offers another reason for giving games our all. Guys also talk a lot of shit to one another, so if you don't want to be known as the worst at something, you'd better get good.

I think that maybe guys tend to be more interested because that is one of their social activities. Just like girls tend to enjoy going out shopping in a group because that is our social activity. It is like when there is some arts and crafty assignment in class, most of the time the girl's projects are much better than the guys. generally.

I beat Mario Brothers once! It took me a while, a few years I guess. But that's because I kept getting bored and turning it off. I also quite enjoyed Jeopardy on my Sega, back when I had free time.
