Alison, as an artist who tries to capture some essence of the life in front of you on paper; the model is so integral to the realisation of inspiration. Sometimes it's a turn of the cheek, sometimes the curve of a collarbone, or the way a hand lilts from the wrist. When life drawing has worked for me most, has been when something about the model inspires me.
Peter was obviously inspired by your warmth, your softness, your gentle natural curves, your beauty. And you only exude those inspirational triggers through being who you are. Life models are a treasure... goodness I'm so out of practise with life drawing, I should pick up a class again, maybe once Mark finishes his course and starts working.
Thank you lovely girl. We will have to find time for a bit of casual life drawing some time.
One of the sculptures was called Zoe... with long, beautiful hair. The energy in the sculpture has the same feel as your drawing of that model - it was fascinating to see the similarities and differences.

I think you have every right to be proud. It takes a lot of courage to be an artists model and undergo that kind of scrutiny. I couldn't do it.

I guess I had that same feeling of questionable pride hearing Steve sings songs about me last night at his CD launch.
