Tomorrow I will read my Pre school darlings The Witch's Children and the Queen in celebration of International Women's Day. If it hooks them in, I'll try and get them talking about the women they know, probably just their Mums and Grandmas, and why they are proud of them. I hope it went well. And I hope with the attention and example of people such as yourself those kids grow up well. Where I was working that day, there was an announcement of a morning tea to celebrate International Women's Day. I was not impressed by the discussions it generated. I hope the children you teach will be having more constructive and generous discussions when they are grown up about these things, and whatever other issues are of concern then. There seemed to be a lot of uncivilized and grumpy people around these days.

That's just awesome, until just now I never realiused how female centred that book is. How did the class go?
