Where have all the people gone from here? I've been looking at my list, and most of them haven't posted since around 2010. I can't remember why I posted so much less in recent years, but it's probably because I was spending so much time scanning family things

I was thinking more about my LJ Friends' List. I foolishly haven't other details of most of them

In other cases, I never knew their real life names

Then as wiseheart suggests, there are those who have died, and perhaps their families don't know me or don't know how to contact me

I too have lost most of my LJ friends. I still see some of them post on Twitter and a few are on Tumblr or Dreamwidth. But the others? No idea. As you say, I either had no other contact details for them or the email addresses I do have are years old and no longer monitored. I do know at least one who died but fortunately I had her email address and a family member was kind enough to respond and let me know what happened.
