Fffffffffff, Shichibukai!Ace is irresistible. Especially with Smoker's general disdain for Shichibukai and Ace's general disdain for clothing I wanted to write something of SB!Ace for myself, but no specific idea really struck me aside from the general "Must Has"

I have a dozen ideas for scenes (including several fiest meetings - so hard to pick just one!) but coming up with a proper plot will take a while longer, so I'll have to decide what to do.

(I nearly squealed like the pathetic fangirl I am when the flashback showed that offer to become a Shichibukai. In my dreams, perhaps...)

Yeah, there've been a couple of Marine!Ace fics (j'adore!) but sadly no long ones. Ironically enough, I was re-reading Whitebeard's Own (the pirate!Smoker fic) the day before yesterday. XD It also inspired me to write a fic where both Ace and Smoker are shichibukai, although that'll have to wait. -_-

(His Jolly Roger makes me want to SCREAM AND SWOON AND MOLEST. ♥

The only Marine!Ace one I can remember is by sans_pertinence and has him being deep undercover... I CAN HAS LINKS TO OTHERS?

I just recently read WB's Own, but that's because I just recently joined fandom at large XD I read OP like end of June, early July or something XD I think Smoker would make an awesome Shichibukai, since he doesn't really follow his superior's orders anyway. He'll spend more than half his time insisting he's not a pirate, though XD "I work for the Government. I'm just ensuring JUSTICE."

Argh, sorry. The only other Marine!Ace fics I read were drabbles and short ones (less than 1000 words) which I don't have bookmarked. :| I know one of the op_fanforall promps got a response for a Marine!Ace fic, so if you ask for links on the One Piece Yaoi comm or smokerxace, you should be able to get them? There really aren't that many, though.

XD That's EXACTLY how I was planning on portraying him. With the rest of the shichibukai and Marines just trying to ignore him and Ace flirting-via-violence.

I prefer Marco to top, so I'd hate if he were bishi. But yeah, probably more Ace/Luffy now it isn't 'ew, incest!'. :( But it looks like a lot of people are starting to be interested in Marco now he has some personality and funky-freaky-powers, so fingers crossed. :3

I like ZoSanZo, but SmoAce will always be my favourite. They were what got me into the fandom, and nothing could replace them for me. But yes, making Sanji

Yes, fingers definitely crossed. If Ace were anyone else, I'd say he'd have some serious guilt issues about this whole thing, but he's ACE, so it'll work out :3

When I got into fandom, I was all "SANJI/NAMI PRZ" Because of THRILLER BARK *cough* And now TB has turned into one of my Favorite ZoSan prompts *dies* I had someone cut out Sanji's left eye in a fic, but was disturbingly happy about it I was against SmoAce at first because there was no basis, blah, blah, blah, but I'll ship anything if it's well written and then I read Rock and a Hard Place and ffffffffffff)
