Luffy knew they were in a deadly situation and he was ready to beat the hell out of Crocodile just as soon as he got the first chance.
And the bananas with crocodiles coming out of them were cool, but they were dangerous and threatening Vivi, and that made them bad no matter how cool they were.
And the seastone cage was a big pain and the room was going to flood with water and he was weak to seastone and to water so that was a really, really bad thing.
But he still kinda wanted some of that food Crocodile'd abandoned.

"If it makes you feel better, think of me as just like you minus all the outside parts! Yo ho ho!" Brook had offered good-naturedly to his shivering new nakama.
But Usopp had exclaimed, "That just makes it even worse!"
Chopper was a doctor--he'd gotten used to it, as it was less creepy than possessed zombies somehow. Besides, it wasn't as though the bones were reindeer bones. The rest of the crew ignored it. And Usopp liked his new nakama as a guy.
He just kind of wished he wasn't such a dead guy.

The pain had turned into a dull throbbing across his lower body, and Zeff could ignore that well enough if he tried. The hunger was gone too, replaced by a familiar displaced sensation that he'd experienced in other starvation pinches. Hoping kid wouldn't come back any time soon, Zeff could let his mind drift as his eyes watched the edges of the horizon for ships.
It was no wonder men were driven to the seas, he thought idly. The sea was the only place to go. It was that, or waste away on patches of land...

"So what's your name?" The question had been asked out of boredom, Usopp suspected, as the more obviously bountied men of the crew had already been claimed by women in the bar, sidling up to danger for fun. He was the leftovers, but he didn't mind, since he had someone at home and the others, barring Sanji, were clueless.
"I am the mighty Capta..." Luffy was laughing at something his companion said, while she looked like she was rethinking her prize catch. Usopp paused, then rethought for a moment. "I'm Usopp. Nice to meet you."
Final Author's Notes: I signed up for this challenge thinking I'd have free time... then wedding, surgery, parental hospitalization, etc. all happened in the last few months. BUT I still won't lose! I have a few more days, I must drabble like lightning! It won't let me post them all together, though, only five cuts per post apparently...
