Yeah, I can't be bothered to make individual cuts for each at the moment. So bear with me and my wonky text formatting and lookit this, I'm actually putting something up!!!!
Title: While We Fall
Pairings: None
Warnings: None
Rating: K
Word Count: 100
Author’s Notes: Consider this a disclaimer for all following posts. I am making no money off of this, it’s purely for my own entertainment.
If it weren’t for the fact that he was moving, Usopp would think time was standing still. It’s probably because of how Zoro and Sanji are still reaching for him, horrified, even though he’s too far gone to catch.
Strangely enough, he doesn’t feel afraid. Instead he closes his eyes and waits, because it was worth it.
Time lurches forward. Luffy’s hand closes around the front of his overalls and the jerk probably cracks a few ribs- but it’s better than ending up dead, and the relieved look on his comrades’ faces is enough to make him forget about it.
Title: Every Time I Caught You Look
Pairings: Sanji/Usopp
Warnings: Nah.
Rating: K
Word Count: 100
Author’s Notes: Another note. I pick most titles from lines in songs, as far as these drabbles go. Usually one from the drabble playlist that made me think it up. Therefore they seem random.
Sanji was the kind of man that usually hated being watched, but Usopp was a special exception. Because watching Usopp watch everything was captivating.
He liked how the sniper was fascinated with his hands while he cooked, and the way that he could memorize every last detail of a certain feeling and sketch it out even as it passed them by. How the dark eyes focused so intensely on the subject even while he looked away every time somebody caught him, like he’d been doing something he shouldn’t.
Sometimes the cook wondered what bastard put that idea into his head.
Title: How You Like To Run
Pairings: None.
Warnings: Hinted abuse.
Rating: K+
Word Count: 100
Author’s Notes: Something I’d like to make a longer story out of sometime.
“I want to know why.”
Usopp jumped, raising startled eyes to meet the deceivingly calm gaze of his green haired friend. After a moment’s fumbling, he regained his wits. “Why what?”
“Why you…flinch…when somebody touches you.” For a moment, Zoro could see excuses piling up like leaves in autumn. He halted them as they surfaced. “No lies, either.”
The marksman visibly wilted, setting his sketchbook to the side and looking desperate. “Maybe- maybe some other-” he surrendered mid-statement, sighing shakily. Zoro nodded for him to proceed, because he had strong suspicions about the way this particular story would be ending.
Title: Kind Of
Pairings: Sanji/Usopp
Warnings: No, not really.
Rating: K+ -ish.
Word Count: 100
Author’s Notes: << Apparently these are all going to be Usopp-based drabbles.
It was just cabin fever. They hadn’t seen an island in over a week and the lack of scenery was driving him insane.
It had nothing to do with the way Usopp’s hair looked when it was down, or the way he wet his lips when he concentrated and okay, maybe the sniper was kind of sexy, but he wasn’t all that special.
Well, except for how his face lit up whenever he smiled, like every happy moment was the new happiest moment he’d had. And so what if Sanji wanted to see that smile more often?
Didn’t mean anything.
Title: Try Too Hard
Pairings: It can be Zoro/Usopp if you want, but not necessarily.
Warnings: Nothing today.
Rating: K
Word Count: 100
Author’s Notes:
Zoro thought it was funny, the way Usopp was always lying to make himself seem more useful. Funny and also unnecessary, considering that he was probably the best sniper in the Grand Line and could tell a story better than anyone the swordsman had ever met.
If it weren’t for the fact that he was always running away, he might even have stood a chance of being formidable. Then again, the swordsman considered, watching the younger pirate attempt to use Nami as a human shield- maybe being formidable was overrated when you brought sunshine to even the dreariest of days.
