Today, Karen's birthday, I had a dream that a wolf ran up and snatched Fizzy in front of me. I felt a rush of overwhelming loss and grief and started to curl up into a ball and then something came over me and I tore off running after the wolf. I was so furious that another loved one was being taken away from me that I caught the wolf and drove it off violently. No more, my inner was saying, the line has been drawn!
Nani shared this with me and it's been in my journal side bar since then.
Time has a way of taking the sharp edges off of *painful* life experiences... And we move into a space in time where sunrises are brighter and sunsets more breathtaking... We learn to be good to ourselves and not feel guilty about it... We learn not to sweat the small stuff... We laugh more... We become more appreciative of what a precious gift life really is... ~ adventurine

You have done Nani and the many Breast a cancer survivors justice, Beautifully written Opa. Nani advocated for so many in sharing her daily updates. Every time I read Nani words in CR Magz/publication of how she had to fight at 30 yo to be taken serious for a mammogram knowing the powers that be have made standered Mammos farther out in age now it almost kills me, making my blood boil. It takes me back, yeah unheard of right? I had my first lumpectomy at 31 My hysterectomy at 32 but we are poo..pooed yet there is a inner wisdom we have to fight for.I am glad Nani did
