Rain, huh? Makes such a strange dripping noise, all dppt, dppt, dppt.

It seems like the locals have some sort of winter holiday for awakening the sun? I guess it makes sense, considering that they worship the sun. It sort of reminds me of the pagans, haha, but that might be a bit of a stretch. This is some sort of different(?) world, so obviously ( Read more... )

It's a celebration to worship the sun? But... the sun is just a chunk of heat, gas, and fire. Why would someone worship it?

It's that, yes, but can't it mean something more, especially if for some time science was not what it is now? To some people the sun has become something of an idol since it gives everything life, and makes their existences possible. So worship becomes a way to show gratitude for that.

Haha, I know it sounds weird, but humans are just strange! So many different cultural quirks exist, right?

I suppose if they want be grateful to the sun, that's fine... as long as they know what it really is. It's not the sun alone that gives life. There are many other factors involved. And for those trying to emulate the sun...

That's true. I worry sometimes, though, because some people are cruel to others because of differences.

Hm? I'm sure that the people here know that, at least, considering the level of technology. But definitely, there are other things that give life, but who would try and copy the sun? Someone here?

Heh, and that is true, you know. That's why more people have to become wise, or enlightened or informed or whatever. They don't have to become the thing, but they don't have to be ignorant, which is usually what causes most of that cruelty.

It is a little like Paganism, because Pagan religion is mostly rooted in nature, isn't it? The religion here is really different, though. I'm not really big into that kinda stuff, but it's really unique compared to what religions I do know of.

...Well, I hope they do manage to wake the sun; the cold and the damp and the gloom are depressing!

I'm going!

...Er, I heard stuff about dressing up, though... do we have to dress up?

Really? What about Shintoism and all of that? Wasn't that kind of close to the European pagans? All of that nature worship. Though I guess the idea of everything having its own spirit is different than nature worship.

Well, then that takes care one question, haha! But I think that you do have to dress up. It's not like it'll kill you, anyway.

...Yeah, it is a little different than that. Though I don't really know much about it anyway, haha.

Whaaaat? Oh, come on, I don't wanna dress up! Dressing up sucks! ...Can't I compromise and not have to be completely formal, just, uh, not-what-I-usually-wear formal?

Haha, go figure, Juudai!

Hey, come on, it won't hurt you! It's not like you have to be ultra-formal. Though it's your choice in the end, you know? I just think it would nice if you tried to be nice for the occasion.
