Daughter no. 1 has recently signed up to be a foster owner with the Last Chance Refuge.  They get far too many unwanted pets dumped on them and don't have enough room, so the idea is for people to take them on temporarily.  I would have liked a little pussy cat (though sometimes you get mother with

Aw, Brandy looks so sweet. Poor dear, to have to adjust so often to new homes! I hope this next one is his last, and happiest. Thanks for telling his story. :))

And thanks for listening Meryl! Brandy (now renamed Brady - not sure about that one) went to his new home yesterday. His new mistress, despite pushing 40, was like a kid at Christmas. She very sweetly rang yesterday evening to say Brandy/Brady had settled in well. I've no doubt he'll have a lovely time with his new owners.
