Some thoughts on Torchwood and Russell T... (turn away if you're easily offended)

I think Victor Hugo is possibly the worst culprit - pretty well all of his characters are related to each other by blood or coincidence.

I did enjoy a lot about Torchwood but, like so many people whose opinions I've seen, I really wish that British TV writers would remember that "tits and arse" isn't the only way to interpret the word "adult" when it comes to programming.

Yes, and I'm one of them! I personally don't know how he can claim that Big Brother is 'fascinating and powerful because it shows the tiny details of people's relationship.' To me 'invasive' and 'appalling' would be better descriptions. However, I don't 'despise' people who do like it. I can think of better reasons for despising people than their TV choices!
Russell T's boastful claim to be a "very, very experienced and sucessful TV writer" just says it all really, doesn't it?

Well, I just LOVED "Torchwood" and will forgive Russell T Davies almost anything so long as he comes up with stuff like this ...it was dark, sexy, funny, and exciting, even though it was only a scene/character setting up scenario...
Captain Jack : "He came and went...." ...ROFL - That certainly got me going...Excellent stuff ( ... )

That was funny, but, alas, not a Russell T original. That joke was doing the rounds when I was a teenager:
'Why is semen white and urine yellow? So a man can tell whether he's coming or going.'
(The original was 'Irishman', but those jokes have their origin in the English oppression of the Celts, and the Irish don't appreciate them, despite what people think. Much funnier as an anti-man joke anyway.)
