OH MY GOSH!!! I'm so glad you and all the kids are okay!!! I'm shaking here just thinking about it...I've been in 8 accidents, and in every single one, the seat belt is what kept me from being seriously hurt or killed. MAN!! and didn't you just get a new car?

The car was new(ish) - we bought it used (20K miles) and it's a 2004 or 2005. Was. Don't really care about the van except to say this: The crash test ratings on the Quest are much higher than they were on the old van. So, if you want to get right down to it, I'm glad it happened in this one and not the other.

Holy crow. I am lighting several candles in thanks for good fortune. A compression fracture in a vertebra and they DIDN'T keep you in the hospital?? Rest, get better and let Coth do all the work for a few days. God bless you, Sarah. And I'll pray for Coth a bit too, since I can't imagine the giant OMG he went through today as well. I know what you all mean to him.

Compression fractures are generally stable provided you don't do any heavy lifting or anything. They don't keep people in hospitals for stuff like that. Besides, I think the kids were much less freaked out that she could come home with us.

::careful, gentle hugs:: I'm so glad you and the kids are okay, and the van took the brunt of the damage!

Thank you for wearing your belt! I hope that you have enough pain medication to help you. Rest as well as you can, and I'll pray that bad dreams stay far away from your home.
