Children of Men was awesome, and is just as vocal a film about "where we're headed" as V for Vendetta.

Smoking Aces was cool until the end, at which point it promptly delivered fellatio to an obese drag queen.

I did the peeking through hands over my face thing for Pan's Labyrinth when he sewed up his face.

I think you'd like Children of Men. Best movie I've seen in years.
