There are things that drift away, like our endless numbered days.

I'm that scene in In Good Company where Topher Grace tries to recover from falling in love with Scarlet Johansenn and she says she's busy with her double major.

this has nothing to do with your entry, but i know you love bukowski.
which of his books would you reccomend starting with?

and you'll find someone, it might not be now, but you will eventually.

Oh man, so many of his books are amazing. I would suggest "Burning in Water Drowning in Flame" as it is a big collection of his early poetry, from books that aren't in print. Also, "Last Night of the Earth Poems" has some very profound things in it. If you want to read his fiction, "Post Office" and "Ham on Rye" are swell.
I would advise against the "New Poems" books unless you really dig it, because they were published post-humaneously and in my opinion aren't as scathingly honest as earlier stuff.

Basically. Read one, and if you like it, read more. Every book is a little different but essentially the same.

Sorry for the novel. I can't write just one sentence about Bukowski.
