I loved "De-loused." I was totally onboard. I have a wonderful memory hearing it for the first time when I was having an enounter with my girl friend at the time.
With the new one, there's no real explosive propulsion like there is in "Francis" (or in Deloused for that matter). Not a single track measures up to thepower of Francis' opener or closer. Maybe Viscera Eyes comes close, but it's still way off, and two thrids of the way through the record. Gimme loud, noisy freakouts. You can jam, just make it interesting. I don't care that you can make your guitar sound like a saxaphone, a saxaphone sounds better.
The first two records hit you in the balls immediately, and never really let up. This one doesn't bother.
