I just managed to delete a year worth of notes/plot development for this fic I'm writing for a friend and it's irreversible because my laptop is stupid and ugh. Why do I even do this. It's about time I finished that thing and I'm not even halfway through -- what with taking very long breaks from it and not doing anything other than sketching scenes

There isn't, I've tried but it simply vanished! I'm starting to think it's not that bad, though, I was looking and still have some major things still saved separately.
