ice storm!

Last Thursday NH (and MA, ME, VT, and NY) was hit by a massive ice storm that left the trees beautifully coated with ice and lots of them fallen over onto roads, houses, and powerlines. I've been stuck home with a head cold form heck and didnd't even notice the super storm. Seems like everyone north and south o fme got loads of ice or snow. We just got rain here.

Wow. Continental weather systems can be harsh. We take our mild weather so much for granted over here.

well, this is very unusually harsh even for NE USA. Or it's a different kind of harsh.
I'm trying now to plan ahead for an auxiliary source of heat, like a wood stove perhaps... what if I had been snowed in and could not just drive away? What if the phone lines were down as well... well, I do have my cell phone if it was charged.
