That horrible moment when you're texting a boy you crushed on at one point and the conversation gets real serious and real awkward when it turns into how you're not over that other guy yet.

You know ... I've been there with the not being over the other guy thing and honestly, you need to find a way to move on. All it does is make your life toxic. It screws up possible relationships with potentially amazing people. It sucks. And there's no easy answer for getting over them, but you just need to. It's okay to still have them as a part of you, but you also need to move on. It's the only healthy thing to do.

Yep. That's where I'm at. He keeps coming back into my life, sometimes it's my doing, sometimes it's his. I know I need to move on, but I keep thinking I'll lose something great if I let go.

You won't. I mean, really. What you're losing are amazing things now. If, years from now, he comes back into your life in a positive way, that's awesome. But if you're not together now, it's because he's not good for you. So don't hold on too tight. I missed years worth of potential happiness because I was so scared that I might blow it with him because I had some built up image in my head that he could be more than he showed to me. My ex is a great guy, but he ended up not being good for me. We weren't good for each other. So don't let yourself lose what's really in front of you. He's a ghost. You've got the chance to actually live your life.
