I've been here for a little while now, and I'm still not sure what's going on. It's like something more bizarre happens every day. Apparently the sprinklers of my hotel went off, but it was on a lower floor and I can't be too mad about that. Though my main concern... I heard about Shiki's Mr. Mew, but I didn't know about her Piggy. As long as she's doing okay. And is Beat really that bad at cooking?

Manhattan isn't always like this! Or at least not from what I've heard. I mean, this is the first time I've heard of anything coming to life and trying to hurt people.

Oh, Mr. Mew is Shiki's Piggy... She's okay now, though. And, you'll just have to ask Beat about that.

Even if this isn't really normal, it doesn't make Manhattan any less horrible. I'm Neku, by the way.

Uhm... I like graffiti.

But how can't you say this place isn't horrible? There's monsters and kidnappings and sickness. Doesn't exactly seem like the happiest place on earth.

Hope you don't mind if I put up a little national pride in defense, Neku. America isn't usually this whacked. Generally on the same scale as Japan, at least.

It's whacked any which way you look at it. But you can understand my point if this is my first impression of America.

Really. Manhattan is totally better than Disney Land.

I don't care about the rest of the country. The only thing that's effecting us is this part of your country. Shouldn't you be worrying about this place and trying to fix it?

Yeah, strange stuff is always happening here. It never seems to get old, though.. maybe that's not a good thing?

This place has yet to get old to me, but... I haven't been here very long. After The Game and now this place? I'm down for some normality. We should do something... well, normal.

We can still fight in other ways, Shiki. We're not totally useless, despite the lack of Psyches. But we all know that I was a genius, so this fact is clearly disappointing. [[that was hopefully obvious sarcasm]]
