3x16 Taken Summary/Recap

Original Air Date: 3.21.04
Sark has been taken into custody and is on a plane, ready to be taken into CIA custody. Dixon tells Sydney that Senator Reed is coming in to oversee Sark's interrogation.
Things are definitely not going to plane when Sark's plane lands in the desert and Dixon's kids are MIA.
Syd and Weiss board the plane and find everyone on it dead. No Sark.
Dixon finds out that The Covenant have abducted his children. Sark tells him that they are safe, but will only be safe as long as the CIA follows his demands. Demands being that several prisoners that are in custody.
The team start brainstorming ways to get the children back. Everyone wants to release the prisoners. Senator Reed says no way. We don't negotiate with terrorists. But everyone hates him so no one is listening to him.
Dixon also says that he knows there is a leak. AND WATCH OUT because he is gonna bust a cap in yo' ass. But in a nicer voice.
Dr Barnett and Sloane say goodbye. It's weird. Sloane should not kiss people.
Marshall figures out that Sark jumped from the plane in Arizona by listening to a recording. He also hears that Sark calls someone “love” on his phone. The team infiltrate a building in Arizona which they assume is where Steven and Robin are being held. However it is all a trap. Explosives set and video footage of the children on a loop. They run out. Quickly, and just in time.
Marshall also discovers that Sark's flight information was accessed using Dr. Barnett's code, from OMNIFAM's IP address.
Jack goes to Switzerland and arrests Sloane, but takes no pleasure in it. Dixon's son is returned, but The Covenant now demands the release of ten prisoners. Dixon appoints Jack as the leader of the unit, because he feels he can't think clearly anymore. Later Syd talks to him and he confesses the real demand of The Covenant was a Rambaldi artifact stored in Project Black Hole. He needs her help to get it.
When they do get it, it turns out to be a gold box with IRINA engraved on it. Dixon and Syd meet up with Jack and they discuss the fact that the artifact could put Sydney's life in danger. The Covenant are close to finding the key to operate the cube which will threaten Syd's life. Sydney tells her father that it is not important. She chose this life, Robin didn't. Besides, she's in danger every day isn't she?
They do the swap. But Sark insists on insurance. He attempts to put a lethal injection collar on Robin but Sydney demands he put it on her. He does. Jack rushes to disarm it, he does. Sydney and Jack embrace. Another close call.
At the end of the day and episode Jack overhears Lauren and Vaughn saying goodbye. Lauren says “Not if I see you first” just as Sark did in the voice recording.
