shelves

IKEA have informed me that there is absolutely no way that I can have the shelves to go inside my bookcase delivered to my flat. I can’t even pay them to do it. Instead, I have to go into a store. I don’t have a car and my nearest store is nearly 40 miles away. IKEA, I AM DISAPPOINT.

Really? When I had trouble with IKEA like this, they were happy to pay petrol money for my travel. I would suggest to them that they can do this, so they should.

The customer service lady was completely mystified by my problem; it took a surprisingly long time to make her understand it. The thing is, it is really our mistake-we failed to pick up the second box. But on the other hand, no one said anything, so I would have thought this sort of thing happened all the time.

I guess I could try asking for petrol money. I’m sceptical though!

Could you perhaps find someone at work/online who is taking their car to Ikea and would help you with the shelves in return for you going along and helping them shop or baking them a cake or something?

I think my dad might very sweetly go for me. But I will feel bad. I might buy him a little present to make up for it.
