What kind of 35mm are you looking to get? Or rather, what kind was it supposed to be?
HAHAHA, does this mean I can put a serious guilt trip on you? I have ten shots of 8x10 Polaroid film that I'm extremely giddy to get through. Shoots are quick and easy since I can only do one shot per trip. The Polaroid film backs are $200 each and I've only got one.
I'm not really looking for any particular 35mm, just one that is a decent deal. I've been looking at Craigslist and have been pondering over a Nikon N80 or a Pentax K1000. I can't decide if I want to go electronic or not. I really enjoy working with a manual 35mm. The Pentax looks like a good deal. The guy wants to sell it to me with a Sigma 28-200mm Lens which I thought was weird b/c its AF instead of a manual-but he says it works with the camera -he's asking $150-. So now I'm trying to decide between what he is offering and Ebay is offering for this camera and a couple others. I think I'm gonna send you an e-mail about this. It would be good to get a second opinion and some suggestions.
Between a Nikon N80 or a Pentax K1000 I would vote for the Pentax. Pentax as a company is notorious for keep excellent compatability between MF, AF, film, and digital cameras. Believe it or not but an old Pentax lens from the 70's that fits on a K1000 will also fit on a modern Pentax D-SLR. Some functions may not work across the board like Autofocus or whatever but Pentax always has big bright beautiful viewfinders so it doens't much matter
