I am so god - damned bored. In fact, I don't have anything to say but this. I need to get out of the house more. I am braving my first trip over to Matt's since I have moved in about 15 minutes. I really, really hope that this is a wise decision.

spent the last hour or two looking at the photos from my parents trip around the world. By the far the most interesting of all to look at and here about were the photos of India, Nepal, Thailand and Burma. you know, it's funny, and almost painfully true that we always want what we don't have, miss what we have thrown away, chase after what we initially rejected. i miss home and want to be wrapped up in familiarity and yet, at times i am driven mad by familiarity; as if i want to exist in anomymity. (sp?).

i don't think i have been as insulted or offended as i am right now for a very long time. in fact, i am that angry that i (for once) can not even find the appropriate words to illustrate how absolutley fucking furious i am. hopefully i find the guts to question the selected individual....

I really can't stand this idealisation of everything that is depressing, morbid and negative. It is fucking narcisstic! And you know what, I really don't think (although this is only my opinion) that the artists who have created these works, songs, movies ... etc. actually wanted a silly little bunch of angsty teens to idealise the negative ( Read more... )
