Warnings: Possible spoilers for the show.
Notes: Made for familiardevil and streussal for my fanmix meme. Since they both wanted this pairing, I combined them and doubled the amount of songs originally promised. familiardevil wanted Bonnie music and my brain went to a Bonnie/Caroline place and she graciously let me continue on that path. streussal wanted a mix something angsty depicting their issues and their loneliness and their differences, which I kind of ran with. This mix is the story that The Vampire Diaries never gave us: the aftermath and beyond when Bonnie realized her best friend was a vampire and all the pain it brought. This is told with an established romantic slant with lots of pining and heartbreak and shifting POVs, with a hopeful ending because they love each other the most and they’ve always had each other’s backs, it’s just going to take time and a little understanding. This is kind of my little ode to sadder aspects of the Caroline/Bonnie ship (even if they are, ultimately, a much happier ship to me).
