Pa has been ok, if a little unsteady. Ma says he fell once, but it was a gentle fall, where he sat down unexpectedly on the floor. He wasn't hurt at all, mostly just surprised. He's actually a black belt, and knows how to fall. This is not to say he could never be injjured in a fall, especially if his brain is shut off as in during a seizure. It ( Read more... )

The dose before bed, before you were feeling pain, was a very good thing to do. Pain management is key for a smooth and fast recovery from stuff like this, and pain meds don't work nearly as well if you are already hurting when you take them. So keep yourself on a dosing schedule. For best results, don't wait until the effects have obviously worn off, especially since you don't find Tylenol-3 difficult to discontinue. You should be allowed to stack your Tylenol-3s with ibuprofen/Advil for a synergistic pain relief effect. (Ask Maxwell.) And then it might be easy-peasy to discontinue the Tylenol-3 in another day or two and just take the ibuprofen/Advil for pain management until you're fully healed and not sore. I love ibuprofen/Advil for dental pain and other body aches. I think it's the most effective OTC drug for that ( ... )
