Random thoughts for today:

Number One: It is sad that I actually have come to a slightly disturbing conclusion. I have come to think that physical abuse in an adult relationship might actually be better than mental/emotional abuse. At least you have the chance to fight back. I mean, in an ideal relationship neither would happen, but when it comes

On a very simple level, I think that emotional abuse is worse, just because it doesn't take long for a bruise, scrape, or even broken bone to heal. To fix an emotional state can take years...even a lifetime.

On a deeper level, though, i think physical abuse is worse, simply because emotional abuse comes with it as a package deal. It's pretty common to have emotional abuse without any physical abuse, but emotional abuse is just a part of physical abuse. Not that because you hit someone, you have to belittle them also. But BY beating someone you also belittle them. An abuser doesn't have to say a word for their victim to think "I must be pretty worthless that he\she beats me so often."

I'm not sure if that made sense...but whatever.
