See, boring Old!Jonnyism #1: he actually follows through with his stupid sobriety programs. Young Jonny would've thrown an ashtray out the window and crawled out of the facility on his belly like a wounded animal or something.
Britney's got it right - keep on keepin' on!! It's more interesting that way. ;)
I'm glad he's taking it seriously though, and I hope he's ok.
I wonder what made him decide to go this time.*wonders*
Now I feel like sending him a get well soon card or something.
You know I just think he needed a break more than anything, he works too hard all the time. I just hope rehab works for him, since years of couselling haven't. Okies now I just feel like giving him a hug.
LOL, Promises. I wanna get addicted to something so I can go there, the music alone convinced me! Do you think Jonny addiction counts?
Its funny because every article was like "He hasn't been drinking, all he drinks is tea, blah di blah di blah" and I can't imagine Jonny hiding those little bottles of alcohol in his man purse everywhere...
...Oh wait, actually I can.
I just hope it helps, and he gets some much deserved rest.

Like I said, the operative word is maintaining his sobriety. It's not uncommon for alcoholics to re-admit themselves even if they've been sober for quite some time. He might feel a relapse coming on, or overworked - which would might cause him to drink. Think of it as nipping it in the bud. Or quite honestly, this is Promises! He gets to sit on floofy couches and talk about his feelings to counselors. Sounds good to me.
I don't really care either way. Yes I do, I miss drunk Jonny. :( But I am glad I have an excuse to go to the website and let the music play...
He gets to take a little vacation at Promises. I wonder if they have that music playing when you walk in.*g*
I do miss drunk Jonny ("It's amazing the courage you get with a drink!") but imagining Jonny at Promises isn't too shabby methinks. Wow Jonny talking about his feelings...that counselor's gonna need a stiff drink after that!
You gals are so fun to read. The young drunk Johnny was struggling to make it as an "A-lister" despite all claims to the contrary. At least his handlers thought he had potential to be an American star and they hooked themselves up to his vapor trail. Now he gets major roles in million dollar productions and even has the responsibility to carry a series on American cable network on his newly broadened shoulders.
Did he look nervous/strained/out of sorts to you on The View/Ellen/Leno? Did he need to be photographed everywhere w/ his heiress girlfriend just as The Tudors premiere parties were covered by the media? Was he "asked" to "clean up his act" by family and his special someone shortly after completing Elvis, his award winning ticket to the Big League? I see so many similarities here.
But I am grateful to whomever it was that influenced him, esp if he noticed the signs himself, to take this brave step to get back on the path to sobriety. It is a lifelong journey.
