!!!!! That looks awesome! My boyfriend's father is moving and has decided to leave his mother's sewing machine with me, so I want to learn how to make quilts soon.
Very cool! I'm stealing my mom's extra machine. I'm just learning quilt...I did random sewing before though...nothing great. Mostly turning big tshirts in to non-tshirt tops.
Thanks! I have 4 more to do...the first project is just a wall hanging. Then the backing is going to be green...and I'm going to do some fancy quilting stuff (haha yeah good terms) in green thread. I can't wait until my bed sized quilt.
I was SOOO excited tonight during class when I sewed them together. I'm really bad a like...measuring and doing anything straight...so I was very VERY excited when my points where meeting up. I'd love to see some of your quiltling stuff. I'm offically obsessed. It's def. a good thing though, since I've been collecting vintage material with no clear purpose in sight.
There's something so classic and good about the shoo fly block. I love the pattern it makes when you place blocks next to each other.
Where are you taking that class? And, do you have a sewing machine? I have 2, one is a serger. I haven't had time to use them much though. Oh well. :-)
Well, if you're REEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAALLLLLY nice to me, maybe I'll let you use my serger sometime. :-) It's just sitting in the box here, because I haven't had time for sewing lately.

oh oh...this was my first piece...a wall hanging....and then the large quilt I showed you last night...was my first "real" piece...after the wall hanging we had to do to learn quilting. I'll post photos of the finished black and pink piece tonight.
