I somehow love the idea of the beloved Commodore surviving only on fruit. Hmm, sound like someone else we know? *pokes authoress*
I adore the line "He could find goodness, honor in that."
You are an incredible writer. Keep it the hell up.

"Only Lord Beckett hurt him enough, punished him enough to wash the stains clean. With his hands white and soft as these petals he broke James slowly."
I am absolutely in love with this part. It's so DMC James, you can't see it on the surface, he seems hardened and callous but inside... And I really love this... thing... between James and Rose, especially here. "He would plant a love for her, foster it with gentle care. It would grow. It could consume him. He could find goodness, honor in that. She wouldn’t even have to love him back." Truly wonderful ending. You're made of awesome, you know that?

Sorry for the delay- This story is so moving! Only you could picture James so well! Your characterization is always so complex and multilayered- and so very spot on.
I have to agree with sunsetdawn20, this sentence was chilling... and perfect: With his hands white and soft as these petals he broke James slowly.
Thanks so much! ^^

It's PRETTY!
And sad. ;-;
I like it. ^^
(My review, filled as it is with extremely intelligent sounding words, is definitely the highlight of my mastering of the English language. xD Sorry it's so... unhelpful and unspecific. xDDD My brain is fried at the moment. o.o)

I don't mind, we'll save the english language for our writing right?

Your story is very good. Sexually charged and sexually confusing, which is right on the money about JD, I think, as well as what he brings to all his characters. Less so Norrington, but you've done a great job of absorbing that into the character, making him just a bit fragile and far more interesting.
