an ode to the smaller changes made when remaking the first episode of Sherlock.
01. The Mug
with the logo of the Royal Army Medical Corps (the motto there is "In Arduis Fidelis"). You should really get all the use you can from a prop.
02. The Gun
or more accurately, the amount of screen time it gets here - in the pilot the camera lingers, but in the aired version he seems completely at ease with it.
03. The Lab
04. The Reflections
05. The Taxi Drivers
In the pilot, although Sherlock says that taxi drivers are "invisible", we in fact see the drivers of the taxis quite clearly. When the episode was remade, however, they were kept in shadow - which also gives the chilling suggestion that Jeff could have easily driven them sometime before.
06. The Patches
07. The Newspapers
actually showing the victims rather than just a splash of Lestrade's face - which I don't object to personally, he's probably the most photographed policeman in Britain or something - but you know. Dead people.
08. The Decor
09. The Pills
just look so much better when they're multicoloured and in clear bottles. Also, allowing the viewer to see the previous "suicides" enabled them to count down the pills.
10. The Clothes
- Sherlock looks better in trousers than in jeans (there's something very disturbing about seeing his underwear), and well, John gets jumpers.
