Kyle and I saw Spanglish last night with our friends Chris and Jen. It didn't have as much humor as you would expect from a Adam Sandler film. It was very touching. I felt drawn to the bicultural elements since I have a strong split between the identities of each side of my family. In general, Sandler transitioned well into a more serious role
