After years of all talk and no walk I have finally gained my M1 License. Not only did I pass the MSF course but I passed the test with a -perfect- score

Cruisers I can't speak to the fuel efficiency of, but "Standards" are just fine. Steve's Bandit gets about 37mpg and has a 4 or 5gal tank, and my Nighthawk gets about the same and has a 4 gallon tank. 130 miles or so to a tank which is about normal for a lot of bikes.
Unless you're going to be cruising like way, way long distance or crawling up somewhere into the mountains I doubt the enduro tank is needed.
Well considering that im up in anchorage I have to go a long way to get to anywhere. Its why I want the enduro tanks ( Ive been told there are stretches of the alcan that has no services for ~250mi). and I can only find Enduro Tanks for:
KLR650 - Kawasaki DR650 - Suzuki 650XR - Honda
So I -really- want one of those three bikes, mainly because they are a good mid-range engine size. I don't want a huge 1400cc monster.
I really want a bike bad. So that I can drive it before it starts to snow, I only have about a month. Even though I'm fairly certian im just going to buy -really- protective gear and try to buy a bike later.
I dont speed, I just want to go for very long distances and see places with my camera that I havent seen before. I feel like the world is now starting to open up to me (it only took 10 years longer than everyone else)
