Free internet

I was quite upset when I first got my computer home and wasn't able to acquire access to any of the wireless networks in my neighborhood.. Well that problem is no more :) Hurray Mac Powerbook! I fear though that my deviant feelings will wane once I check our router and find out if it's also a wireless router :(

Can you actually acquire an internet connection within a wireless zone if your laptop has wireless capabilities? I thought I'd ask because I read about this hacker that would drive around DC with his wireless G4 and he would be able to get some kind of connection within a zone he picked up or was near by.

Sorry, I randomly surfed in your page.

actually yeah.. and it's not that uncommon. People have to not have a password up for access, and the problems you have is that other people can see that you're on their network and potentially get into your computer. What happened with me was apparently just that. I found a new file on my computer yesterday that was what I think is a picture of the guy who's network I got onto. Hopefully he didn't do anything mean outside of just shutting off access to his network.

Oh, and no problem about surfing onto my page. i like new people

Thanks for the info.

I've been tempted to go wireless but I'm still in the dark ages with an old G3 but using a Jaguar OS though. At times it feels faster than most Pentiums. Then again, I might be overexaggerating. I'm just loyal to Apple.:)

Take care. -jay
