You know, it occurs to me I'm rather strange. I'm cleaning my nipple piercings while listening to The Seekers, drinking beer, and downloading grey's anatomy.
You're strange? I just spent my evening reading The Boys, playing warioware and Final Fantasy III, reading about childhood development for uni, singing "Miss polly had a dolly who was sick" and downloading gay Japanese porn comics.
My boyfriend doesn't, and I don't think Winnie does. And, I think, it depends on the genre of the porn. Everyone downloads the vanilla stuff, but there are niche markets.
We're proud of our weirdness! Is that weird? Is it weirder to blog about being weird, or to try to one-up the blogger?
I think the Internet, and the general growth of globalization and individuality has grown the perception of 'weird'. People are weird. The Internet is where people show their common 'weirdness'.
Also, since lots of people have vast amounts of sparetime/freedom to do what they like, they do. So more 'weirdness' is generated.
It's vastly easier to survival in society and do your own thing than it used to be. I am sure after several centuries of this cultural freedom, people will be trying harder to be 'weird'.

I drank tea, and I ate an easter egg.

You both forgot that you're telling the world about the weird stuff you are doing too. That surely has to add some points.
