Life is so unfair at times!

Why does life have to be so unfair?  I just got a call from my dad late last night, and he told me that my cousin died in a crash over the holiday weekend.  We were never that close because she was more than just a few years older than me, but we both had daughters and they were only 6 months apart in age.  When her daughter was little, her husband ( Read more... )

You know Chris sometimes life can seem unfair. It seems to go out of its way to bring you down but really if we believe in God and that he has a say in our lives then we have to believe that whatever happens in our lives, well, it happens for a reason. We may not understand it and it may take us a while to accept it but in the end...we have to have faith and hope.

Life is to be lived, the best you can, and without regrets. And loss is a part of it. I'm sure that your cousin's daughter knows you're there for her if she needs you and I'm sure you'll do your best to be there for her when she does.

Lo, this is why I consider you to be one of my dearest and best friends on here. You really do understand me, and I can always count on you for some great insight when things seem bad and out of my control. I do have a belief in God, and I know that He has a plan for all of us. There is a reason that she passed from this life, and I may never really understand it, but if I am meant to know, then He will make sure that I am made aware of it. Thanks so very much for your comment Lo. *HUGS*

Renee, like Lo, I consider you to be one of my best friends on here. I know that you are here for me when I need it, and just know that I am here for you as well. Things have been a mess for me for the past month or so, and you know why. You have been a great friend to me, and I am so thankful for your kind words during one of the hardest times in my life. Even though my cousin and I were not extremely close, she was almost 9 years older than me, we did have our moments of great times when we got older. She was loved by many people, and she will be missed by all of us.

I am so sorry this has happened, to you and to your cousin's daughter. What a horrible thing for a teenager to have to deal with - losing both parents. My heart goes out to her. <3

Thanks Bev. It means a lot that you left me a message. I know her pain with the loss of both parents. I have lived that life myself, but the difference is the fact that I was so much younger than her when I lost mine. I don't know how I would have handled that loss as a teenager, but I just got back from the viewing today, and she is amazingly strong. She is a great girl, and she has all kinds of family that is there for her. She even has some pretty amazing friends, because as we were at the funeral home, a group of her friends (30-40) from school left her hometown and drove almost 45 minutes to be there for her.
