those are GREAT children's fantasy books. I reread the very very first one (the one before Dark is Rising) this summer with the intention of rereading the entire series but never really got around to it... heh heh heh... but seriously, when I was in fifth grade and read those for the first time, they had a major impact on me as well. I wrote a TON of fantasy back then - that's all I wrote, actually! like for school writing assignments and such. yeah, to this day, I still remembering writing a story almost entirely borrowed from The Dark is Rising. eh, I was ten. what did I know. anyway, yes, great great great children's fantasy series

How funny that you should mention those, I was just thinking about them the other day! I think I will request them from the library...

As for Molly, my vote is for her Route 66 dress. My friend J. came over the other day with her Molly, and she has just got the Route 66 outfit. Verdict: TOO DARLING! The hat is to die for.
