Well, almost a week into my trip and I had my first MAJOR language breakdown. Up to know, I've been holding my own asking for directions, talking about music / different places and things in Tokyo/Japan... but today I encountered a new issue; requiring a whole new set of vocabulary for which I was ill prepared for

Nah that wasn't such a big issue. I ended up pointing to what I wanted on a picture menu while feeling like a failure.

I hate that...
The people at McDonalds would always do that to me... They'd flip over the menu and be like "Look! English for the stupid American!"
