11 more days in Massachusetts, in the USA, speaking English. I know virtually nothing about my host family except for their names and address. I know once I get over there I'll have to sign up for classes, get a cellphone, set up a Japanese bank account etc. yet not being able to act on any of this now and having it hang over me is no fun at all!

I feel the weight too. To be honest, I'm fuggin' scared. I do have the benefit of a student tutor to help me with campus life/cellphones/misc, and also a staff of counselors to help me (they can be quite overbearing, or so I am told by a past participant in my program). But, you know, hardship is the spice of life. Your uber-nihongo skills will kick into overdrive I am sure, and everything will be resolved in time. Japan is going to be nuts! I really hope we can hang out/travel together.

We should most def. hang out. I know I get like 2 months off in spring -if we haven't done anything before then, thats a good time to do/plan something
