Got sent a few Wayne Shorter shows. With the quartet in Oregon on 2004.04.14, and with Hancock, Holland and Brian Blade in Vienne and Paris later that year. I haven't traded live boots for the longest time, but I'm now remembering the joys ( Read more... )

para sakin maganda pag yung odd time hindi mo nahahalata. tipong yung work ni colaiuta with sting sa "ten summoner's tales". yung track na "seven days", hindi mo maramdaman na 5/4 siya tapos sa bandang dulo nilalaro ni colaiuta yung accents sa hihats. haha. ano ginawa mong practice to get your double bass chops back? parang gusto ko rin tuloy mag double bass ulit. haha. gaya-gaya.

yeah, di ng halata sa _seven days_. pero obvious sa _love is stronger than justice_ at sa _i hung my head_.

i just started playing 16ths again. went through all the N-stroke rolls. i usually play 4 bars of 16ths alternating with a sequence of 3-, 4-strokes, all the way up to 17s or whatever. alternating the starting foot. metronome syempre, but no hands so i can focus. you can run through the whole thing in less than 15 mins.

di ko pa naman sinusubukan mag-double stroke roll. I can do em with my right but not my left, not easily.

I'm trying to do heel-toe doubles, not slides, btw. Ikaw?

i'm stuck on slides, my heel-toe technique needs tons of refinement.

Looks like you really know your instrument. I'm curious as to what type of band that is exactly, the odd times and double peds tells me it's something metal-ish.

I'm interested in the jazz bootlegs, is there any way you could send them through the internet?

Metal-ish is correct. We're associated with the local mid-90s death metal scene, but we're pretty experimental.

Even mp3'd and archived, these would be 50-100 Mb files. If you like, once I compile all my Shorter boots' mp3s onto a cd or dvd, I can give you a copy. Unless you want cd-audio?
