The cottage I'm planning on building isn't as small
as the ones in
this video,
(partly because of the piano). But the idea is similar: build
modestly, don't borrow money, minimize stuff.
In my dreams, I've building the components of a tiny house one wall at a time, to be trucked into the site and assembled in a day. Maybe using recycled wood pallets.
If the ground floor is devoted to a piano, you could have a sliding glass door wall, where both halves roll out of the way. the frames would then extend beyond the house a little, like ears.
I've been thinking of a cluster of tiny houses, one being a tiny kitchenette, another being a nice bathroom, and then several bedrooms surrounding that core. If that whole thing became big enough, then you could have an intentional community of hermits.
