I have a question about a legal thingy to do with my dissertation. There is this site that I have done a thematic breakdown on and on the first page it outlines the type of site that it is and the potential contact etc. Then in the last paragraph it says this:

I really don't know about the legal issue, but good luck getting through this. You can do it!

Thanks! I keep telling myself that, and promising myself that I can go straight to the bar after I've handed it in (in 13 hours! EEE!) and be drunk until Sunday. I may or may not be looking forward to it.

Good luck; keep chugging and you'll be ok!

I can't really help with the legal thing, partially because I don't understand and because I'm too tired/swamped to try and unravel it. I can give it a go later, but I wouldn't really worry about being brought up on charges. I mean, why would they bother unless you have tons of money?

Yeah no worries. I'm not going to stop now, so it was more an curosity question about the validity of self made one disclaimers and so forth.

I guess they could claim that I benefited from their intellectual property? Whatever, her mental credibility would be easily shot.

Hope work is going ok?

work is good, it's just a lot and the whole learning curve bit. You know how new jobs are. Plus, they're busy so so am I!

You're so close dearie! And then you'll be so happy that your nasty aunty will be just an annoying little gnat.

Two words lovey:

Ask Kit.

He was a contractural lawyer before heading off to med school. Argh!

Ok, I'm not sure, because copyright/trademark not my thing, but I would say that if your dissertation isn't going to be published anywhere (web, book, magazine), it doesn't matter. If it is, you should try to figure it out.
